Well it’s one month down in 2024, and we have a whole election cycle to go... From the Iowa Caucus to the New Hampshire Primary, time is finna look like a big, flat circle. 😵

And while we can’t hide from reality, we can certainly try to run away from it. Or maybe work remotely for the next four years. The future looks bleak no matter how you slice it. So this week we’re leaning into it with some ways to see the beauty in this cold, cold world. ❄️➡️

FESTIVAL SZN 🎉

When you think of festivals, you think of Coachella, Burning Man, Art Basel, and Sundance. But you know what’s cooler than doing drugs with folks from New York and LA? Not doing drugs and taking in hundreds of amazing ice sculptures at the Harbin Ice Festival. 🧊

In the capital of China’s eastern Heilongjiang Province and drawing 30,000 visitors daily from around the world, the Harbin Ice Festival boasts epic sights, amazingly artistic creations, and winter vibes that you can’t experience anywhere else on Earth. 🌎

Check out the coldest festival in the world:

COOL AS ICE 🧊

Whether it’s a hundred dollars a night or two thousand, most hotels are pretty much the same: a room with a bed. And a phone. And a bible... If you’re lucky, your room might have a view. And if you’re really lucky, have some disposable income, and want to immerse yourself in an incredible natural landscape, you’ll book a glass-enclosed igloo in Syöte, Finland. 🇫🇮

With 180° views of Lapland’s idyllic winter wonderland, it’s more than okay to stay in bed all day. And depending on who you go with, you won’t want to leave. 🌡️
