Welcome to another installment of your favorite travel newsletter – where instead of starting off with puns about heat waves and jokes about drunk people flying Spirit Airlines, this week, we’re writing with a heavy heart ❤️ [and hands] due to the wildfire devastation in Maui. And the fires are still burning as we hit “send” on this email.

Maui isn’t just a magical island 🏝️ full of amazing and picturesque beaches, it’s home to incredible people: friends, hosts, guides, and fishermen whose entire lives and livelihoods just got wiped out. Families have been separated, many are still missing, and who knows what the next week will hold. 

At Travly, we’re heartbroken by these fires and the lasting effect this will have on Maui – which is why we’ve launched a fundraiser to help locals during this difficult time.
